Can you laser engrave logos or images?
Yes, laser engraving technology can accommodate a variety of design types, including logos and images. The quality of the final product will depend on the complexity and detail of the design, the quality of the artwork, as well as the material being engraved. The quality of the end product depends directly on the quality of the artwork. We do offer artwork services if needed.
What materials can be laser engraved?
We take pride in our ability to engrave a wide range of materials with precision and care, ensuring that your custom designs are brought to life on the medium of your choice. Our state-of-the-art laser engraving technology allows us to work with a variety of materials including, but not limited to, wood, acrylic, glass, metal, leather, and certain plastics. Whether you're looking to engrave a personalized gift, or a corporate award our skilled team can handle your request with professionalism and attention to detail. Each material is meticulously processed to achieve a clean, lasting impression that enhances the uniqueness of your engraved item. Do you engrave items that we provide or only items that you provide?
Customer provided items are accepted conditionally. We require testing on most items that we don’t provide. Testing is typically not needed for items such as tumblers and cutting boards, but items such as leathers and plastics and various metals do require testing. We do charge for testing your product. We can’t guarantee any results on new items until they have been tested and the tested item will most likely not be usable after it undergoes the testing process. Because of this, we suggest only bringing your own items when you have a large quantity to engrave.
Can photographs be laser engraved?
Yes, we laser engrave photos on all forms of materials. A 600 dpi image or higher quality is required for photo engraving.
What type of files do you accept for logos or designs?
The best quality is achieved by using vector files, typically in .ai, .svg, and .eps format. We also accept bitmapped files, like .png, .jpg, .pdf, and .tiff files, but recommend that these are sized to the actual product being engraved, and of a resolution of 300 dpi minimum (the higher the resolution the better). Customer must own the rights to use any customer supplied artwork, and, by submitting the artwork, attest to their rights to use it and granting Honu Engraving permission to use the artwork to complete any engraving ordered. We reserve the right to decline orders that involve copyrighted artwork, or artwork deemed obscene, hateful, or offensive.
Can I engrave trademarked logos?
You have to own the rights to your logo if you'd like us to engrave it.
Can I see a proof or sample of my design before it is engraved?
Yes, it is common to provide a digital proof or physical sample for approval before beginning the laser engraving process. This ensures that the final product meets your expectations and specifications.
Can you use Color in Laser Engraving?
Laser engraving itself doesn't add color. It only changes the surface of the material or burns down into it. However, you can paint or use other techniques to add color after you pick up your item.
How long does laser engraving take?
The time it takes depends on the design's complexity and size. Small and simple designs can take just a few seconds, while more detailed and larger designs take longer, sometimes several hours.
Do I have to have a minimum order?
No, you don't need a minimum order. We value all engraving projects, from small or big projects. Whether you want one time or many we provide high-quality, precise engraving. Every order gets careful attention to detail. We offer significant quantity discounts for higher volume orders.
Do you offer same-day or one-day service?
Generally, we do not do same-day or one-day service, but we highly value our customers so there is a possibility that we can work something out for you. The laser engraving process requires careful attention to detail and precision. As such, please allow a processing time of approximately 1-5 days from the date the order is confirmed. We strive to complete each engraving within this timeframe but may occasionally require additional time for complex designs or during peak periods. If you have purchased other items, they will also be put on hold until engraving is done so that your items ship together. Please contact us directly.
What is your Shipping & Return Policy?
Yes, we do have a Shipping and Return Policy please review it Shipping & Return Policy. All sales are final, as these are custom-engraved products specifically made for you. We do not accept returns on engraved items. It is essential for customers to review and verify the design and text before submitting their orders. If we make a mistake, we will either correct it or issue a refund. To qualify for a refund or correction, you must contact us within 3 days of receiving your item. Please email Steve at information@honuengraving.com to arrange for a refund.
We take pride in our custom-engraved items and ensure that you are satisfied with the product and approve it before it is shipped. Your satisfaction is our priority, and if any issues arise, we will do our utmost to resolve them.
